FS1 Trolls Knicks Fans With Taunting Subway Advertisements

“Hopeless,” reads one side of the now blue and orange Knicks themed NYC subway shuttle that runs from Grand Central to Times Square. Fox Sports 1 was behind the evil advertising, trolling the hearts of Knicks fans who are more like abused animals at this point. Taunting our fan base after what we’ve been through the last 15 years is just cruel, but I will give it up to the struggling but creative FS1, who needs all the viewers they can get, this is one way to attract the attention of New Yorker’s on their morning or evening commutes.

The Knicks colored seats and inside of the subway cart featured all too familiar narratives from Knickerbocker fans going into the 2017 campaign. You can’t help but laugh at sayings such as, “There’s overpaid and then there’s Tim Hardaway Jr.” or “Can you fire an owner?” With one playoff series win in the last 15 years, we are in a pathetic state with $163 million still owed to the likes of Courtney Lee, Joakim Noah and Tim Hardaway Jr.

There were some positive sentiments on the other side of the subway which read “hopeful,” and had complimentary things to say of the Unicorn Kristaps Porzingis, who may have been “designed in a lab.” Let’s give these kids a shot to develop together as a unit and just maybe one day Zinger and Ntilikina can become a premier pick and roll combo, but when was the last time the Knicks coaching staff really developed a young core?

I’m unsure if taunting advertisements will lead to an uptick in viewership of Fox Sports in the New York City market, but it’s a strategy I think makes some sense with hosts such as Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd leading the network who prey on trolling viewers to tune in and hear their opinion even though consumers may dislike what they have to say. I hope every Knicks player, coach and Jim Dolan gets to sees this just to get a feeling of what fans deal with on a yearly basis with this dysfunctional organization

***Update: FS1 Will Remove Ads According to Daily News***
