Lil Wayne is a die-hard Packers fan, and has been riding for the Cheeseheads from Green Bay since day one, going against his hometown New Orleans Saints. The 34-year-old was recently in the news after suffering another set of seizures at his Chicago hotel room at the beginning of the month. His manager, Cortez Bryant, made it public that Wayne would not be taking a break anytime soon, which is going against doctor’s orders.
“I tell him that all the time but I don’t think that’s gonna work, man,” Bryant told TMZ after being asked if Weezy will follow his doctor’s orders. “He a workaholic. That’s what got him to where he is now man. He’s just [in] the studio all the time trying to make music, get through this situation and give his fans what they need.”
Weezy teamed up with Fox Sports for an NFL version of the Friends theme which premiered on the Fox pregame show leading into week 2. It’s good to see Weezy back in good spirits doing his thing, but he was one of the last people I expected to see doing this and it actually came out pretty tuneful.
Laced in a Kobe Bryant purple t-shirt and a flashy gold chain, Wayne mouthed the words to the track, which warned teams to avoid an 0-2 start. “Please, don’t go 0-2. Just ’cause you can’t catch a ball. Don’t go 0-2, you’ve never been there before. Don’t go 0-2, I bet my whole paycheck on you.”
