Before George Karl fades into the NBA abyss of people nobody will remember in five years, he decided to throw one last haymaker at his former players and wrote a book properly titled, Furious George. Early excerpts contained by the New York Post had the former Denver Nugget coach ripping into former players like J.R. Smith, Carmelo Anthony, and Kenyon Martin, all of whom have responded in one way or another. Check some of this garbage out below if you have not seem them yet.
“Who are you to criticize the way I grew up… I don’t think George Karl is qualified to speak on the way I grew up.” — @KenyonMartinSr pic.twitter.com/NTUGqeD3vq

Still trying to be relevant. Sad just sad.
— JR Smith (@TheRealJRSmith) December 22, 2016
He branded the trio of Anthony, Smith and Martin as “AAU babies’’ like “the spoiled brats you see in junior golf and junior tennis.” “Carmelo was a true conundrum for me in the six years I had him,” Karl wrote. “He was the best offensive player I ever coached. He was also a user of people, addicted to the spotlight and very unhappy when he had to share it.
George Karl came out with a confessions of a video vixen book smh.

“Kenyon and Carmelo carried two big burdens: all that money and no father to show them how to act like a man,” Karl wrote.
I didn’t have a father going up. We all know that. What’s George Karl excuse for being a terrible person
— Kenyon Martin Sr. (@KenyonMartinSr) December 22, 2016
Real nice George, rip guys for the environment they grew up in like it was their choice. If the roles were reversed you wouldn’t be half of what those men became if you grew up where they did.
George Karl is selfish, unhappy, missable,,cowardly person. No wonder he’s be fired every place he has coached

Even though most people knew this is how you really felt, with your backhanded compliments of Melo over the years, I did not think you would stoop that low and sell yourself out just to sell a few books. Have some pride George. As someone who was around the game as long as you, I expected better.
Having a lot of wins doesn’t make you a good coach. He was blessed with great talent

I had some good Denver Nuggets Teammates. That dude is old and unhappy with himself.

How about looking in the mirror George? Your teams had great talent and just maybe never won because of YOU. How many playoff series were you outcoached in year after year?
Show George Karl this so he can see how the man he called “fathersless” has grown into a great father himself pic.twitter.com/KW0NnJQWT6

I won’t be reading this garbage and neither should you. The only thing this guy could teach us is how to lose in the first round of the playoffs, which he only made it out of once in the last 15 years.
Shoutout to Melo for taking the high road when asked about Karl’s comments.
